New Facility Will Provide Housing to Seniors in Northeast Ohio
The Douglas Company has broken ground on yet another project! Construction is in full swing on the new Mary Rose Estates facility, a senior living apartment complex located just northeast of the Cleveland area.
The project, which commenced in early April just at the opening of the spring season, has a contract value of $4.1 million that includes a total of 34,500 square feet of new construction. Mary Rose Estates promises to bring superb housing to seniors in the Willoughby Hills area by providing 40 one-bedroom apartment units complete with full kitchen and community laundry center.
“Mary Rose Estates has been a challenging but fun project to start on,” said project coordinator Aaron Leininger, “It is being built on a unique site that requires close attention to detail along with constant monitoring of soil erosion measures.”
According to Leininger, the senior facility owned by Mary Rose Estates Apartments, L.P., incorporates a Geothermal System into its configuration and is on schedule for completion in October of 2012. This development is a Douglas Company Design/Build partnership project.

I’m interested in this 21 st century approach to the climate controlled heating and cooling methods
Currently underway at the Mary Rose Estates, located at 35253 Maplegrove . .
Can you explain in everyday terms what’ ” Geo Thermal ” Means ?
David, thanks for your comment!
Geo-Thermal is a form of “green energy” used for heating and cooling. Depending on the season the system will draw heat from the ground to help with heating the building or draw the cool temperatures from the ground to help cool the building.
Does that answer your question?
Thanks for your response . I’ll keep watching the progress
I’ve asked this question to others . What’s your definition of a ” full size kitchen ”
Also , Is it true that all apartment units will have a shower stall ?
You seem to be progressing “on schedule” and should have The Mary Rose building finished this Fall .
